Voice Lessons with Kenzie

Book your weekly time slot

What to expect for your first lesson

1. What to Bring

– Make sure to join your lesson from a laptop! Phones and tablets do not work well for virtual lessons.
– Think of a song that you like to sing and come ready to sing it. You can sing it on your own or play it from a device and sing along.
– Bring a notebook to take notes.

2. What We’ll Do

First, we’ll talk a bit about you and your experience with singing. I’ll ask you about what you’re looking to get better at, so think about one or two things! Then we’ll go through a simple warm-up routine that we use at the beginning of most lessons, and finally, you’ll sing your song so I can hear your voice.

3. How it Works

You will receive a Zoom link via email – this is a recurring link and we use the same Zoom link every week.

A note about Zoom: you must download the app to a computer/laptop and access the audio settings. Once there, you should see a setting for “Original Sound for Musicians.” Make sure this is enabled. Without this change, zoom automatically mutes singing & piano as background noise!

Meet Kenzie 🎶

Kenzie has been singing her whole life, serving at church since she was in high school, and playing guitar or piano and singing in her free time. She graduated from Heritage College & Seminary in 2021 with a Bachelor of Church Music. She began teaching voice lessons in 2020, and loves helping students improve their vocal agility and precision. Kenzie’s goal is to help those who serve and lead worship at their church to grow in confidence, worship leadership, and vocal proficiency for the purpose of glorifying God and edifying the church.
